Sunday March 12th saw in our inaugural Multicultural Cricket Festival held at Victory Square. Thanks to Nelson City Council, Multicultural Nelson Tasman, Rotary Club of Whakatū & Wakatu Cricket Club Nelson for your support of this kaupapa. The day was played in a great spirit from first until ball. 7 sides entered the festival, all united by a shared love for Cricket. The lads played a modified version of cricket to give everyone a go. The sixes & sunshine were a constant throughout the day, as well as some amazing fielding and more run outs then one could count on both hands (which was a supprise considering it was 6 per side) . We can't wait for next years event which we hope will be bigger and better still !
