Greg Du Feu made Nelson Cricket Association Life Member

Greg De Feu is the latest person to become a Life Member of Nelson Cricket Association in recognition of his outstanding contributions to cricket in the region following the Nelson Cricket Annual General Meeting last Thursday (24th Oct).

Greg’s journey with Wakatu Cricket Club began in 1983, and over the past four decades, he has demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment to the sport. His leadership and passion has not only fostered a vibrant cricket culture within the club but has also had a profound impact on the wider cricketing landscape in Nelson.

Throughout his 34 years on the Wakatu CC Committee, including an impressive 24 years as President, Greg has played a pivotal role in the club’s growth and success. His vision and strategic leadership has been instrumental in developing youth programs, promoting inclusivity, and enhancing the overall playing experience for members of all ages. Additionally, Greg's involvement with the Nelson Cricket Association’s Management Committee as Chair, and his service on the NCA Board, further underscores his commitment to cricket at all levels in our region.

Greg’s tireless efforts and selfless dedication have left an indelible mark on both Wakatu CC and the Nelson Cricket Association. His influence has inspired countless players, coaches, and volunteers, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie that embodies the spirit of cricket.

Greg has been a constant leader/supporter/volunteer for Wakatu and Nelson Cricket for over 40 years and is a worthy recipient of Life Membership of Nelson Cricket Association.
