Nelson Cricket is one of New Zealand’s leading district cricket associations.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Nelson Cricket Constitution makes provision for the appointment in 2018 of directors. This appointment, made by a Board Appointments Panel, responds to a determination to have available the range of skills and experience required for effective governance of Nelson Cricket.
IDEAL APPLICANT DESCRIPTION
Persons are sought who will bring all or some of the following:
- The ability to think strategically, i.e. able to see the big picture and to drive the organisation towards achievement of a challenging vision;
- Management or board-level experience in a successful company or organisation undergoing growth and change;
- An understanding of national and or regional sport (cricket specific is not required).
- An understanding of the Nelson / Tasman community.
- A commercial perspective, i.e. strong macro financial experience and general business skills.
The Board Appointments Panel will evaluate all applications, conduct interviews and nominate suitable candidates for appointment by 24 October 2018.
The prospective directors do not need to have any cricketing knowledge or experience.
