What a fantastic week for some of our local cricketing talent! Not only did we host the first round of the Ford Trophy at Saxton Oval last Wednesday, but the Stags named four Nelson players including 2 making their debut on their home ground! Greg Hay, Josh Clarkson and debutants Felix Murray and Willie Ludick pulled on the coloured clothing for the first time. Greg Hay making the most of a recall into 50 over cricket scoring a well made 82.

If the week couldn’t get any better, we had our newest staff member, Claudia Green named in the Hinds squad for the first round of The Burger King Super Smash to be held in Lincoln, good luck Claudia!
Our Year 8 and under 17 Nelson Representative sides made the trip over to Blenheim last weekend. Both a Town and Country Year 8 side made the trip over the hill taking part in two T20 fixtures each and the under 17 side playing 2x 50 over games over Labour Weekend. Both sides are building nicely towards their upcoming tournaments. Our under 15 side are starting their campaign this weekend with a trip over to Blenheim – good luck lads!
