Community Cricket update
All other Nelson Cricket started this weekend right from the Superstar Cricketers through to the 2nd Grade competition. For the first time, we will have a 3rd grade being played which is a merge of the old college grade, with a few parents helping out. The new look College grade will see the teams compete in a T/25 competition to keep things fast and fun for this group. The Junior teams will be trialing out new competition rules in their respective age groups, which we believe will only add to the enjoyment of young kids cricket!
We have had Central Districts here for a Ford Trophy one-day game this week which saw a great win for the stags! Make sure you come down next Wednesday the 31st of October to join in the fun when they take on Northern Districts. There will be a number of Nelson Players in the team to come down and show them your support! Entry is Free and play starts at 11am.
Thanks again to all the volunteers that will be gearing up for another season ahead. It is because of your work that we are able to bring cricket to Nelson.
