Report from the GM -Beach Cricket

It has been an amazingly busy start to the new year for everyone at Nelson Cricket. As well as setting up and running the ODI at Saxton Oval on the 8th January and two beach cricket events at Tahunanui beach. Both hosting Black Caps. The first event on the 6th was to promote the ODI and an opportunity for the Nelson public and visitors to get up and close to Blackcaps, play some cricket and enjoy giveaways courtesy of our generous sponsors particularly Tasman Bay Food Group and Juicies. 
On the 7th we hosted a tour of the Cricket World Cup which was here in Nelson in 2015 and will be played for in the UK this coming year. Again another great opportunity for the public to see the trophy and get up and close to Ross Taylor and our own Gavin Larsen.
